A list of my favorite video games

  • I'm not much of a gamer, and I absolutely prefer RPGs over other types of games, so the list you'll see is DEFINITELY skewed.

  • Legend of Dragoon (Playstation)

  • This is a game that I just never grew tired of playing. It has a very interesting plot, and some great characters, both protagonists and antagonists.

  • Chrono Cross (Playstation)

  • Again, a good storyline with a HUGE number of characters to choose from. Of course, not all of these characters will be heavily used (if at all), but it still makes the game more replayable than most others.

  • Worms 3D (PC)

  • Who'd have thought that armalite-wielding worms will make it into anyone's list of favorite games? This is a pretty solid game with a tons of possibilities and some pretty sturdy annelids.

  • Civilization 3 (PC)

  • Besides RPGs, 'god-games' rank high among my favorites. Civ3 most especially, because of the huge amount of time actually trying to master the game. It can get pretty boring when nothing's happening, but watching your cities grow and your enemies' towns get crushed by your troops can be rewarding if you invest quite some time playing.

  • Age of Mythology (PC)

  • I like this game primarily because I've been interested in Greek mythology since I was little. It's easy to learn as it's basically the same as the other games of its kind, but the mythological theme makes it much more interesting to me.

  • Bloody Roar 2 (PlayStation)

  • I was never into fighting games because I have trouble memorizing button combinations and I have poor reflexes (which makes me the best dodgeball opponent). The good thing about Bloody Roar 2 though is that I don't need to learn combos. All I have to do is punch any and every button as fast as I can and the combos just seem to create themselves. The perfect game for button-mashers.

  • Pokémon Sapphire (Gameboy Advance)

  • I've been a fan of the cartoon series since it first aired, but time (and common sense) told me that I'm too old for cartoons involving battle monsters that live in balls. BUT, when I saw a seven year-old playing this game on his GBA, I just knew I had to get a copy. And I really wasn't disappointed. Not that much, anyway.

  • Marvel vs. Capcom 2 (Playstation 2)

  • I like anything that has Gambit in it. Same game as the other titles in the Marvel vs. Capcom series, but in a console that I enjoy playing it with.
