WOW!!!! I had no idea there were that many Netflix clones already! The only ones I knew about were Netflix, Greencine, Walmart, and CleanFilms. Which do you think are the best?

It would be especially cool if these were listed along with approximate selection size, available pricing plans, and shipping times.

I could probably triple the length of this list if I had time. There are tons of companies doing this now. But I would say only a handful of them would be worth your while.

Which handful? :-) I've got Netflix now. Walmart's selection was no good for my tastes. GreenCine is too far away and would have terrible delivery times to Minnesota.

Wow, wasn't aware there were that many options! One of these days I'm gonna sign up for something like GameFly to quickly play through all the GameCube games I've wanted to play (but first, I have to buy a GameCube).

I asked GreenCine just exactly what Netflix had that they didn't (as I could only find a multitude of titles that GreenCine carried and Netflix didn't), and they pointed out that Netflix's music DVD selection is much larger, which may partly explain why GreenCine appears to have every movie on DVD that Netflix does and far more, but they claim similar selection populations.

Just a tidbit.

FYI: CafeDVD looks active to me, although I can't vouch for its quality or lack thereof.

Peerflix isn't online DVD rental, it's DVD sharing from user to user...

Thanks, I know what it is.

okay, then...

just suprised it to find it on a list of 'DVD rental' services.

Anyway, good list. And, as a comment: I have Peerflix but will cancel soon because I so rarely get requests for the titles I'm offering and so I can't ever get any credits! It'll take me forever just to get back the titles that I've sent out so I can cancel my membership! :-)
