Very clever . . . Get me to agree to watch The Mirror and THEN tell me it's going to take three viewings for it to make sense. I'm only promising one viewing. :-)
What did you think of To Live?
I am so sly. :D
To live was a beautifully shot and exceptionally well acted film (the entire cast was excellent). I was drawn into the story so much, it was like emerging from a dream when the movie ended. I've seen a quote that read "A great movie has to have 3 great scenes and no bad ones." To Live has at least 10 great scenes and no bad ones. The scene in which communist soldiers literally rumble over a hill is incredible.

Loved it, of course, being one of the top three from my favorite director. Hang around here a bit longer and I'm sure you'll get sick of my plugging Zhang Yimou. And when my wife actually pinned me down and got me to list five actresses I find particularly attractive, Gong Li made the cut easily. Talented, too.
Gong's a whistle-worthy babe. :~@
Where's this line from "Where do the noses go?. =:)
So much for the quote. :( I'll just slink off the my 500.
I wasn't ignoring you, I'm just not online as much over the weekends. As for the quote, you've stumped me again (not a hard thing to do). Bad guesses would include Darkman and Young Frankenstein. :-)
I will wait until I get back from wood gathering to give away my amazing quote (not that amazing actually). but...no. twasn't either.
(hee hee) I've forgotten where this quote is from. Whoops. :?D
Alrighty, I gotcher Mirror review right here.
