Actually, I have no idea if this is super-easy or not, but since my favorite playlist is, generally, a mixture of 80s pop, alternative (classic and modern), and popular hiphop, I don't think it's that hard. But then again, when you divorce the words from a melody, even the most recognizable song can look strange. (That's my experience, anyway.) Not to mention my random shuffle picked a few songs that are somewhat obscure to me (You may disagree). I've also added a difficulty scale (1=easy, 2=moderate, 3=hard), based on how popular the song/artist is, and how memorable the lyrics are. Also, please note, in case it isn't understood, that the use of Google is cheating (not that I'd be able to tell, of course).

UPDATE 12/27/04: Upgraded #10 to difficulty 3

Well, it's not super easy to me. I only know the first one for sure -- "The Rooster" by OutKast. The third seems real familiar too, but it's not coming to me...

[one Google search later]

Of course. I am SUCH an idiot.

Hee hee!

I'm starting to think that the phrase Super-Easy should be in quotes. However, I'm very surprised that no one's identified #9 -- to me, that's one of the most memorable lyrics of the late 80s.

(Unless, of course, you've never heard it.)

[one more Google search later]

Well. I'm embarrassed to admit it, but I've never heard that song. Neither anything by that band. Which is really sad given that I'm a big fan of that certain band member that went on to other things.

Off the bat I can nail down two:

13. Jive Talkin', Bee Gees
19. Norwegian Wood (This Bird Has Flown) - The Beatles

Correct and correct!

Good job on the Bee Gees -- I wasn't sure anyone here was old enough to recognize it :-)

Don't worry, some of us are old enough to remember when the song was getting regular airplay on the radio the first time around!

:-)
