- 1. Love Actually A wonderful movie that is not afraid of sentimentality. Of course they stole my idea about the airport greeting area but I forgive them because this movie should make you feel good about life.
- 2. Gene Pitney I can not think of a better match between voice and material then Gene Pitney. Pathos and schmaltz mixed together with the pitch of his voice just makes a wonderful combination.
- 3. Deadwood It is right up there with the Sopranos and The Wire for great HBO Sunday night viewing. If you are offended by curse words, then this is definitely not the show for you. I can imagine drinking games sprouting up on college campuses everywhere. For every curse, you have to take a drink. You would be very drunk by the end of an episode. Despite all that it is a wonderful series well worth checking out.
- 4. 24 I agree wih just about everyone, this season took a little longer to jell but the latest episodes have been some of the finest this very good show has yet put out.
- 5. Drive by Truckers An acquired taste but once your hooked you really can't go wrong with almost any of their work. I prefer Pizza Deliverance but just about everything I have heard by these guys is pretty unique and pretty darn good.

I had to give up drinkig a few years ago. My doctor is now saying to stay away from choclate and sweets. Soon my only addictions will be the artistic kind......Of course I could take up physical addictions but that seems like too much work...

24 has certainly been running on all gears lately, despite the odd wheel-spinning of the earlier episodes. Tonight's episode had me breathless for the last three. I love the suspense of the week's wait!
24 is probably working its way into my list of favorite television shows, especially if it keeps this quality up. I'll give any show a few weak hours at the first of a season if the final half is this fantastic.

Yup another very good 24 episode last night. I have no idea how Palmer gets out of this mess. I think someone big is going to die this year That is the great thing about this show just about anything could happen.
