- Q: In the song On Any Other Day (by The Police) our protagonist has a number of upsetting things occur ranging from the big to the small, i.e. his wife is having an affair, his daughter runs away from home, his son has "turned" gay, his dog bites his leg and he gets burnt eggs for breakfast. According to him those things would be OK on any other day. Why are they not OK on this particular day?
