  1. (okay, silly title, but these are the upcoming movies I'm most excited about)

  3. Tree of Life, Terrence Malick. From the man who only makes masterpieces, his most ambitious project ever, in the works since 1978. Starring Brad Pitt and Sean Penn.
  4. Synecdoche, New York, Charlie Kaufman. It's Charlie Kaufman, bitch!
  5. AntiChrist, Lars von Trier. A drama set in nature based on the premise that Satan, not God, created the world.
  6. Avatar, James Cameron. The long-delayed project of a wounded marine on a distant planet. Should be jaw-dropping if nothing else. Cameron is always pushing the medium of film forward.
  7. The Curious Case of Benjamin Button, David Fincher. A great premise with great people in the project.
  8. The Brothers Bloom, Rian Johnson. Watching Brick was one of my favorite movie experiences of the past few years. His next should be just as fun.
  9. Burn After Reading, Joel Coen. Has all the makings of another solid Coen Brothers flick.
