Falling short of the list include monsters like the Blob, It (from It Came from Beneath the Sea), and Anaconda. Upcoming films with giant monsters include 2005's King Kong and Smaug the dragon in the likely upcoming prequel to the highly successful Lord of the Rings trilogy, The Hobbit.
