He was also really good in that flick with DiCaprio...This Boy's Life I think it is called. Of course, all the movies listed above are in a different world than TBL, but a good performance and decent film. As I recall, he plays a real bastard. Didn't know if you had seen it.
For me, the most conspicuously absent title here is ONCE UPON A TIME IN AMERICA - a great gangster movie and one in which De Niro nails an ultimately very moving portrayal of the youth, middle age, and old age of a career criminal.
Well Bertie, you jogged my brain! I agree, that obviously belongs. Let me make an adjustment.
And for me one of my favorite baseball movies, Bang the Drum Slowly.
That is a wonderful film sk. I cant put them all down or the list would be a mile long.
I agree with you. Just stating a personal favorite. Great list by the way.
Thanks sk. By the way, you're becoming somewhat of a regular now, what you say you guve me a first name.
Yeah, a belated "welcome back!" sk. I was just looking at your post history and noticed this big posting gap between 10/05/2000 and 02/06/2001. Hibernating? :-)
Jim, I gotta say, you look after your listology members. I love you man. (not literally, of course).
