This list was inspired by Welcome to my World by lbangs
It should be easy to find images of any of these by going to an image search engine (Google is as good as any) and entering the artist's name and a word from the title.
A note about viewing art on the web. I often find that images are darker than they should be. What I do is copy them to my image viewing program and use the enhancements to lighten them up a bit. Alternatively, you could fiddle with your monitor's brightness setting - I don't recommend that however.

Good choices. I especially agree on Munch. With Rothko I still have my problems though (and the other folk like Piet Mondrian, etc.).
What about Edward Hopper?
The Grand Inquisitor
You'll notice that most of my choices so far I have placed in the Significant Form section. I don't mean by that that each work of art belongs in only one of those categories, just that they seem strong examples of them.
I intend to add Hopper's Nighthawks - where would you place that one?
Ah, Nighthawks, my favourite painting. Personally I'd put it into G3, but it's your list, so it's up to you.
BTW, have you ever had a close look at that painting, and listened at the same time to Billy Joel's "Piano Man"?
Keep the list up, it is very interesting.

G3, really? And what emotion does it express do you think?
"They're sharing a drink they call loneliness, but it's better than drinking alone."
Okay, I'll buy that.
And here's a more difficult choice: The Kiss by Gustav Klimt, would go equally well in G2 or G3 - what do you think?
