I can think of ten Matt Dillon films that I really enjoy, and I can't think of ten Paul Newman films I can really enjoy. But, look at the two lists. Who has the better films on their list. Paul, of course.
That's cool, I just thought you were sticking with 5 as an exercise. In your Newman list you agreed that there were more great Newman movies beyond the 5 you listed that you intentionally omitted to stir up debate. Since I kinda view these "great [insert actor] films" lists of yours as a series, I was wondering if you were building them based on a consistent set of rules.
Some actors I do these lists with really haven't made enough films to do 10 . Though Newman has I guess (I recant my earlier statement). I dont really remember the mood I was in when I made the Newman list. I know he is a favorite of yours and others, so I assume at the time I made the list that it would cause some good discussion. As you can see there were only 2 or 3 posts on that list, so it didn't get near as much feedback as I initially thought.
Why does Dillon get 10 when everybody else (including Paul Newman!) gets 5?
