FEBRUARY, 2009
- 2009: George Carlin, It's Bad For Ya (2-16-09)
- (Also nominated: Lewis Black, Anticipation; Flight of the Conchords, Flight of the Conchords; Kathy Griffin, For Your Consideration; Harry Shearer, Songs of the Bushmen)
- Carlin's final album, released just after he died. Starts slow, but full of a lot of good stuff.
- 2008: Flight of the Conchords, The Distant Future (2-17-09)
- (Also nominated: Lisa Lampanelli, Dirty Girl; George Lopez, America’s Mexican; Harry Shearer, Songs Pointed & Pointless; Steven Wright, I Still Have A Pony)
- I may have enjoyed this more if I hadn't been listening in the car. Stand up is easy to follow while driving. Musical comedy, not so much. I rather liked the first track, "Business Time". This comedy Grammy was the first Grammy won by an album on Sub Pop records.
- 2006: Lewis Black - The Carnegie Hall Performance (2-21-09)
- (Also nominated: George Carlin - Life Is Worth Losing; Bill Engvall, Ron White, Jeff Foxworthy & Larry The Cable Guy - Blue Collar Comedy Tour: One For The Road; Ron White - You Can't Fix Stupid; "Weird Al" Yankovic - Straight Outta Lynwood)
- Not his best album, but it's nice to see him win a Grammy finally. I had previously bought this album (and listened to it) on itunes a couple of years ago, but lost the files in a crash. So I had to buy this again.
- 2005: Chris Rock - Never Scared (2-25-09)
- (Also nominated: Lewis Black - Luther Burbank Performing Arts Center Blues; Larry the Cable Guy - The Right to Bare Arms; Seth MacFarlane & Walter Murphy - Family Guy Live in Las Vegas; Rick Moranis - The Agoraphobic Cowboy)
- Also not as strong as his previous albums, but still a very funny listen. And the skits on this one are actually listenable too. Also, this one and the Lewis Black for 2006 both have Jermaine Jackson references. I don't know what it means either.
MARCH, 2009
- 2004: Jon Stewart and the cast of The Daily Show - The Daily Show with Jon Stewart Presents ... America: A Citizen's Guide to Democracy Inaction (3-7-09)
- (Also nominated: Ellen DeGeneres - The Funny Thing Is...; Al Franken - The O'Franken Factor Factor: The Very Best Of The O'Franken Factor; David Sedaris - Live At Carnegie Hall; Triumph The Insult Comic Dog - Come Poop With Me)
- 2003: "Weird Al" Yankovic - Poodle Hat (3-14-19)
- (Also nominated: Margaret Cho - Revolution; David Cross - Shut Up, You Fucking Baby!; Garrison Keillor - A Life in Comedy; George Lopez - Team Leader)
- 2002: Robin Williams - Live 2002 (3-17-19)
- (Also nominated: George Carlin - Complaints and Grievances; Jimmy Fallon - The Bathroom Wall; Al Franken - Oh, The Things I Know!; Dennis Miller - The Rant Zone)
- 2001: Napalm and Silly Putty - George Carlin (3-26-09)
- (Also nominated: Margaret Cho - I'm the One That I Want; The Firesign Theatre - The Bride of Firesign; Laura Hayes, Adele Givens, Sommore & Mo'Nique - The Queens of Comedy; Ray Romano - Live at Carnegie Hall)
- An audiobook, not a comedy concert album. Makes a difference. Audience responce greatly enhances the listening of comedy. It is jarring to hear Carlin joke about airport security and how he loves seeing people jumping from burning buildings in a book that was released in 2001.

I'll be filling these in as I listen to them. I'm listening in reverse chronological order. I'm also listing the other nominees, for my own personal reference.
