Most of these are shows I actually enjoyed watching at one time, but became painfully unfunny/unwatchable well before the end of their run.

If I had a $ for every show I watched the first two seasons of, then got sick of it...well, I'd have about $15 or so. I could really use that $15 right about now :P Friends, Full House, Cosby Show, Family Matters, etc...
This is, of course, to be contrasted with M*A*S*H, Cheers, and Simpsons, which lasted longer than most of the shows below, yet never really dropped in quality or became unwatchable.
We've been TV-less for three years now, and the only show I miss is The Simpsons. Sadly I have heard that it has gone downhill. Does it's absence from this list mean you think it's still going strong, or that you never liked it well enough to include it?
I never watched that regularly enough to judge whether it went downhill or not.
My husband and I love The Simpsons and have every episode on tape. We still look forward to it on Sunday nights but more often than not, by the end of the show, we're shaking our heads and wondering what the heck the writers were thinking.
Murphy Brown, Twin Peaks, Northern Exposure, and Designing Women
Shalom, y'all!
