The first three can be seen as causes, and the fourth a result. But I suppose you could also look on all of them as hardships (i.e. war around you, famine around you, pestilence around you, death around you).
But I can't imagine what these have to do with the Apocalypse more than normal life. Unless these Four Horsemen are literal ones and these are their weapons.
