Foods I've had from the BBC's 50 to have before you die survey

  • 27. Mexican food - again, grew up in TX (so that's really Tex-Mex), there's an awesome Mexican place right around the corner from me in Baltimore
  • 28. Squid - definitely fried, in Spain the first time I think
  • 29. American diner breakfast - yep

  • 32. Guinea pig
  • 33. Shark - in 7th grade Earth science class, tastes like chicken!

  • 35. Paella

  • 47. Jerk chicken/pork - yes, good Jamaican restaurant in ... Lubbock?
  • 48. Haggis
  • 49. Caviar - in 7th grade Earth science, and bizarrely when I locked myself out of the house and went to get my neighbors to call a locksmith. They ended up having the husband break a pane of glass (he'd done it for my landlords before) while the wife insisted on feeding me, caviar being one of her offerings that I finally capitulated to to be nice.
