speaking of neil gaiman...what did you think of NEVERWHERE? have you read it? i haven't yet but i did get the opportunity to see the BBC (i think) miniseries based on the book that they made a few years ago...it was very very engaging...the scenes of the "alternate" subway stops were really neat...like "angel islington" and others...i've got to read the book now!

i absolutely loved the book! it was just the right mixture of fantasy and horror...(my tastes tend to lean more to the fantasy side than the horror) and fulfilled the expectations i had from reading his Sandman stuff. highly recommend it.

although, another reason i loved it was because i got to hear Neil read portions of it at a signing in NYC, so i had his voice in my head, which made it all the more cool. i would love to catch the BBC miniseries sometime too--i'm sure it's a trip.
