Author Comments:
I realize I give far more thumbs up than down. That's because I only watch a movie if I think I'll like it.

What did you think of "I Am Cuba"? It's been sitting halfway down my Netflix queue since the week it was released. Worth watching?
Also, it's fun to watch your list since you and I are seemingly tied for our spot in the contest.
"I Am Cuba" comes on Sundance sometimes, so you might want to save yourself the rental if you've got cable. Think a De Sica script directed by Tarkovsky. It's certainly worth watching, though I'd go for "Cranes Are Flying" if you haven't seen that yet.
Cable, yes. Is it even possible to compete in the movies watched contest without it? Sundance Channel, unfortunately no. I have actually never watched a Tarkovsky film which is odd because I hear the name almost weekly it seems. I'll definitely check out "Cranes Are Flying" since I really want to get into watching Russian films. Thanks!
When I hear the name Tarkovsky I say, "Bud' zdorov!"
