Films I Watched - December, 2003

Tags:
  • Love Actually: Fantastic feel-good movie from the same team as Four Weddings And A Funeral, Notting Hill and About A Boy, and similar in quality. My only gripe was that it is very seasonal (Christmas) and will be far less watchable at other times of the year, but I guess once a year is enough to watch even the best movies.
  • Lord Of The Rings - Return Of The King: Excellent, rounding off the trilogy in spectacular fashion.
  • X-Men 2: Good, but uninvolving characterisations lets it down (similar to the first movie in that respect).
  • The Court Jester (1956): With the fantastic, incomparable Danny Kaye.
  • I have just discovered that Jim Carrey is to star in a re-make (in 2005) of Kaye's
  • 'The Secret Life of Walter Mitty' from 1947.

I have watched a few others but none that immediately stand out (or spring to mind). I shall add them as I remember them.
