Does anyone remember a movie from the 70s about a creature that was menacing these people either on an island or near the water, and during the course of the film this creature buried someone up to their neck in mud (?) and the way they ended up killing the creature was by tricking him into jumping into the water? It was salt water and for some reason this creature was allergic to salt water and burst into flames when he went into the water? I've been thinking about his movie for 25 years and can't remember what it was.
I love finding about horror movies I never knew existed. I'm gonna keep my eye out for this as well. Interestingly, it was directed by Noel Black, who directed the cult favorite Pretty Poison with Anthony Perkins and Tuesday Weld.
When I read JoBeth William's name in the TV Guide listing I couldn't help but think of her covered in mud at the end of Poltergeist. I wonder if she wrestles. Hmmmm
