Author Comments:

Highlighted in Bold are performances of that actor/actress i HIGHLY recommend

Don't you like Edward Norton? I love him (not in a gay way), especially his performance in American Generation X.
And Morgan Freeman is pretty cool too.

Nortan, hmm its mainly because i've only seen him in a few movies, probably only fight club actually, but i enjoyed his performance.

As for Freeman, that might be one i missed. he's a fantastic actor, i'll go through his films and see which ones i liked, refresh the memory.

Nice list! I'm in agreement with a lot of these.

Ones that aren't here who I like include Alison Lohman, Nicolas Cage and Morgan Freeman.

Thanks!

Alison Lohman, she was good in Tucker, but i haven't seen her in anything else since, anything you could reccomend i see?

Morgan Freeman i will probably add. Cage, hmmm. well i really like Cage in drama movies but i don't think he transfers well in action. such as Con air, but i really like comedies / dramas he's done. raising arizona being a personal fave. he was aslo good in adaptation, so may put him in actually.

Some great names there. Alan Rickman is one of my faves. Have you seen Truly Madly Deeply (sad & funny)??
Totally wih you on Pacino, De Nero, Walken & Nicholson...
xx

Thanks!

nah i haven't seen Truly Madly Deeply , good is it?

I think so but it's probably more of a chick flick. Alan Rickman's character dies but his girlfriend loves him so much he has to come back! Unfotunately all his ghost mates follow!I think Rickman is very funny as a ghost...
It's funny but very sad too so if your thing is all action don't bother!
xx

I also love Zach Braff, but I was hugely disappointed with The Last Kiss.

Your actress list is pretty short...work in progress? Cate Blanchett and Kate Winslet are my two favorites.

well i was fairly disappointed (though overall liking it) with Garden State but yes ive heard really bad things about Last Kiss

yeah Actress list is deff a work in progress

How about Harvey Keitel or Kevin Spacey?

not a Harvey Keitel really, i mean i like R.Dogs and from the 40 mins i saw i really was impressed with his performance in mean streets, it might be more that its not i'm not a fan just haven't seen enough but i wasnt a fan of him in Taxi driver.

Spacey , yeahi like him but i've yet to see his biggest role , American Beauty.

American Beauty is superb, Spacey is fantastic in it. Harvey Keitel is god, he's really good in Mean Streets, Reservoir Dogs & Pulp Fiction. Have you seen Pulp FIction?

Yeah as i say i did enjoy his role in mean streets. Oh yeah seen Pulp Fiction, in my top 5 0r ten of all time probably. Basically it's just the taxi driver performance (and character) that put me off , i do enjoy his other work i guess. Especially the ones you mentioned.

I plan to watch mean streets all way through, having only seen first 40 mins before. i might rewatch pulp too lol always good time for pulp

The film gets much better if you watch it all, it also has a dynamite ending. Pulp Fiction is indeed very watchable, but also so great it's magnificent. What happened to your fav films list btw?

I got rid but i've made "Masterpieces of Cinema (According to me)" which i've done before, but with pictures (which idea i took from your list :) but from my old Masterpiece list i've tried to cut number of movies down

so you can take that as my fave movies, hoping to make many more additions tonight

Spacey has done many great movies. Keitel did an excellent job in Cop Land. Also Mother, Juggs, and Speed. He was in the Piano, Rising Sun and The Two Jakes, as well as others. I don't care for Keitel, but he does always provide a solid performance.

For Alan Rickman, don't forget ...Love, Actually.
