What "the prime of miss jean brodie" about...i think i've seen it but i cannot recall.
well to tell the truth, its very well named. it stars Maggie Smith as a school teacher with elitist Machiavellian flare. Everything about the film is beautiful, especially Smith.

I love it how you included both "Lolita" movies on your list. The new version definitely deserves credit.
whoah man, that's a lot of movies. By Lolita then Lolita did you mean both Lolitas? Or were you adding emphasis. In my experience people tend not to like both of them, being rabid fans for the other. Myself I am a rabid fan of the 1997 version and believe it captures the book perfectly. And man, Dominique Swain just IS Lolita.
