I thought that if I changed the name to favorites, I would no longer need to worry about any criteria regarding how many movies they've been in together, and I could add whomever I wanted, even Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore

* Also in Bringing Up Baby, which I am ashamed to admit I haven't seen

** I like them better than Tom Hanks and Meg Ryan, but although Tom Hanks is a very good actor, he seems to have no sexuality at all. Not that I find Billy Crystal sexy, but there is some sort of spark between Meg Ryan and Billy that just seems to be missing with Tom Hanks.

Yay! I was hoping you'd add Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner. THey're so good together on-screen, it makes me wish they were married

Yes, THE WAR OF THE ROSES was sooooo romantic.

Good memory! I forgot they were in that together.

Once again, Jim jumps in with an attempt at a defusing comment.

Ha! Come to think of it, I do have that habit. Damn! Did it again. I'll quit it (or at least try).

Actually, while I thought Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner had great chemistry in Romancing the Stone, I think the only other movies they were in together were the sequel and WotR. Personally, I look for more longevity in a "couple," so I'd have to agree with you.

I, under normal circumstances agree with you, however I really think that Michael Douglas and Kathleen Turner have wonderful chemistry and could have been in more movies together. It just seems that with the death of the Hollywood studio system, the same people don't work together as much anymore. I can't think of any other male-female couple in the 1980's or 1990's that made even three good films together.

Powell and Loy are the best.
Others:
Tracy and Hepburn
Cary Grant and Irene Dunne
Cary Grant and Ingrid Bergman

I just spent two days trying to remember what Irene Dunne's name was so that I could add her to this list!!!

I also can't remember any films with Grant and Bergman?? What are they?

Grant and Bergman were in the most romantic Hitchcock, Notorious, and they are in a good romantic movie, Indiscreet, when both are older.
We both seem to have similar taste in movies. If you want to e-mail me directly my address is dlkenwood@msn.com. I love movies and can discuss them all the time.

There's a list of more recent pairings at the bottom of this page.

To which I would venture to add Adam Sandler and Drew Barrymore (in THE WEDDING SINGER). No, I'm serious this time.

I agree. Although I normally hate Adam Sandler.(although he is talented) And sometimes Drew Barrymore.
