What did you think of it? I mean, did you believe the message? Were you scared?
Not really. I just thought the 50's clothing and overly earnest (yet interestingly good) acting was kinda embarrassing. I guess when you judge a helpful film of this vein you'd have to say "did it make me not wanna be a dropout?" Well, yes it did. Was it silly? Yes it was! Did it have a kinda earnest-sleezy feeling to it? Yes.
How does one judge these teaching films?

I judge them by how much they make me want to do the thing the movie is argueing against. Thus, if they show cool beatnics and they say, these are immoral people, I wanna be immoral like the Beatnics. And if they show straight kids in dorky clothes and say, these are the leaders of tommorrow, well then I wanna be a follower.....
