Author Comments:
I may have gone a little overboard, but I wanted to list my favorite classic films and modern films for people that appreciate both or have a preference. Splendor in the Grass' category was a stretch, but if you've seen it, you know what I'm getting at.

Well done! But would you care to further define your distinction between 'classic' and 'modern'?
I basically used 1970 as the cut-off. I've found, surfing the net, that many people's "best of" movie lists rarely contain movies before 1970. Therefore, my reasoning for this cutoff point.

I thought the criterion might have been "Classic = movies made before I was born."
See that, Jim: this youngster is calling movies made before you were born 'classic'. He'd probably call movies made before I was born 'archaic' :-D
:) I thought about making my birthyear the cutoff for my personal definition of "classic" and then realized that would eventually make for some awfully old "modern" movies someday.
I was working on my weekend movie by genre this weekend (soon to be posted) and i couldn't think of a category for "Splendor in the Grass" so good job!
