- Nick Drake- Pink Moon: A true meloncholy affair.
- Depeche Mode- A Broken Frame: This perspective is wonderful. The clouds say it all.
- Derek and the Dominos- Layla and Other Assorted Love Songs: A cover actually very pleasant, but so bittersweet in whole.
- Liz Phair- Exile in Guyville: Excellent '90's portrait of torture.
- Rage Against the Machine- Rage Against the Machine: Diddo.
- Joni Mitchell- Blue: A classic of classic covers.
- Lou Reed- Transformer
- Neil Young- After the Gold Rush: Again, good perspective, something is very alive about this cover.
- PJ Harvey- To Bring You My Love: Much like the following entry, very photogenic this girl.
- The Smiths- The Queen is Dead: Something wicked this way comes.
- Joy Division- Closer: A brilliant, cutting presentation. The darkest cover of them all.

Nice Album Art lists! What do you think of Alice in Chains Greatest Hits cover with the crushed face? I'd say it's as dark as the band was.
I just looked at it and I must say I am kind of so-so about the band's music, and I'm kinda so-so about the album cover. I think it would be a little better without the text. But, good suggestion.
I would add Sigur Ros' Aegetis Bryjun. One of the darkest, most fascinating covers I've ever seen. Also, Bjork's Selmasongs.
Wow, that Bjork cover is interesting! I definetely don't care for her at all, but that cover might make the list. I dig those glasses.
As for Sigur Ros, thanks, that's a good suggestion. I just don't find it as fascinating.
Ah yes, thanks for pointing me two your two lists. My favorites on this list are Liz Phair and Rage against the machine.
joy division closer is amazing album
