I love films that scare me. Most horror films dont. These do. a lot. Event Horizon doesnt anymore becuase ive seen it enough that im desensitized, but it did the first couple times. Jacobs Ladder still does. The Blair Witch is a classic.

I agree with you on all points(perhaps becasue its a small list). Event horizon's flashes of hell gave me absolute chills. I too however do not find it scary anymore. I saw a bootleg of blair witch before it was released wide and i was horrified. Of course i was tricked into thinking it was a real story and i watched it alone at night. Needless to say when i visited a friend up in the backwoods of PA and we got lost i had that split second thought of blair witch. Thes hining still goves me the chills especially with the flashes of the twin sisters. For some reason they just freak me out. Also try texas chainsaw massacre. Beware you will be disgusted by this movie, but it also scared me. It comes to mind that movies without background music seem to become scarier.
