I actually stopped the DVD and made an omelette. Of course, that scene isn't representative of the movie, most of which is continuous action (Which never flags or grows dull, I might add)}

Any fun I had laughing at this piece of crap has been sucked away by legions of idiots. One moron even brought it up in one of my classes, which, by the way, was THIRD YEAR BEHAVIOURAL NEUROSCIENCE. I always thought idiots (football scholarships) were supposed to have dropped out by that point. Apparently not. I hate this movie.}

- This is another FAR from complete list. However, I will finish it, and I would really like it if all of you could send in any I missed (and I'm sure there are some really obvious ones). For those who haven't figured it out, it's alphabetical order.
- One of my fellow listologists had a question, does anyone here know the answer?
- Carva's question:
- Hi, I was wondering if anyone here could help. I have been trying to remember this film for literally years now. It is a clay kind of animated film, and it is set in a winter land. I think the gist is that a Princess of the main character's (a boy) sister is kidnapped, and the boy goes on a journey to find her. He is helped out by an old man who makes a flying Ship made of ice in the forest for him. On his journey, the boy meets many characters each with their own abilities. He meets a man who is a great sharpshooter, he meets a man with big ears that has amazing hearing, and he meets a man who can run very fast. I saw this film about 10 years ago now(on TV) and i have been serchign and searching for its name.
- It would be greatly appreciated if anyone had any information on this film.
- Thanks!
- Side note from this list. The great, classic animation studios, in order of my enjoyment of their films:
- 1.Studio Ghibli
- 2.Pixar
- 3.Disney. Yeah, I know they invented great animation, but I really just enjoy Pixar and Studio Ghilbi movies much more. Besides, it's a fallen giant. Brother Bear, Home on the Range, Treasure Planet, and Chicken Little (the last 4 movies created by the actual Disney animation Studio, not the unwatchable DisneyToon studios) were weak and derivative.
- Rising stars:
- Aardman Animations. They've only released two movies, but both are modern classics, plus they've created probably the best series of shorts in all of history: Wallace and Gromit. Plus their next movie looks promising. [not going to happen, it's been dissolved]
- Dreamworks. If it stays out of Shark Tale and Madagascar territory, and sticks to its Over The Hedge and Shrek style, and further develops it, it may well be become another master animation house, eventually. OK, it'll never be Studio Ghibli or Pixar, but a lot of their films are certainly entertaining.

This is an awesome list, there is also an updated version of this list with twice as many movies "http://www.listology.com/guardianryoga/list/every-animated-movie-ever-created-alphabetical-revised-expanded-updated"

hello! please help me!
I'm not sure if it was a series of video cassetes of the same company or one animated movie that has before the start of the animated movie an old man (real person, not animated) sitting in his armchair and a dog beside him (idk if he talked or not). He acted like a narrator and he would open a book, I think...
The atmosphere was really comfortable, not creepy like the storyteller.
That sounds a lot like the bbc show "the storyteller" except the show wasn't animated, it was done with real people and puppets (from jim henson before the muppets i think)
could also have been "long ago & far away" with James Earl Jones
Okay, I feel like i'm going crazy. I could really use some help here...
There's this old animated movie that i remember watching like 15 years ago, i even had it taped to vhs with some robert munch cartoons, but i can't for the like of me remember what this movie is called. From what i can remember it follows a polar bear cub and a little inuit boy, the mother's of both i believe were killed (by each other or other polar bears/people). It's in colour and the animation really shows the beauty of the arctic. I remember scenes showing the northern lights and another where the kid is ice fishing for seals the way inuits do. The whole movie is narrated and in the fishing scene the narrator is describing how you have to remain perfectly still and not make a sound or else you can scare away the seals, and in that moment the kid's eyes close from exhaustion for just a second and a giant seal/walrus explodes through the little hole his harpoon is aimed at and scares the crap out of the kid. I think the movie ends with both the boy and the polar bear growing up and running into each other (the boy hunting bears for killing him mom/family) but it was a different bear that had done it and after a fight with the other bear the boy is saved by the now grown little polar bear from the beginning. With a new understanding of each other, the two go their separate ways.
I would really appreciate it if anyone recognized what movie i'm talking about and e-mailed me the name of it. I just remember that i really loved this movie and would really like to try to find it again. Thanks!
Hi I'm not sure if you can help me on this but I am trying to remember a movie I used to watch when I was little. All I can remember is little bits and pieces, but I'm not sure if it's Disney or what it is. It's about a girl who gets lost and has to take a train home or something? I am getting it confused with Alice in wonderland but it's not it just reminds me of it. If anyone can help please do this has been on my mind for a while.
It sounds almost like "The Talking Parcel" .
Hi I was wondering if you could help me. There was a movie that I used to watch (late nineties to very early 2000s) that I have been trying to remember what it was called. Unfortunately all I remember was that it was 3-D animation (like Bug's Life) and had pink and blue people who were round and rather kirby-like, dolphins that they would spend obscene amounts of time riding in front of a sunset (also pink and blue, though I think the pink one had a purple bow), and something about a mean family of trees - a mother, a father, and a young son though the young tree was nicer. The father tree may have also worn a monocle. Vague enough for you? Any ideas would be great. The 3-D animation had to be pretty early because it was choppier and more angular looking than movies that came out later.

It involves a girl being kidnapped or captured and her rescuer, which she finds out as he is hurt, is a very ugly being. One scene I remember is a night time scene I think in some mountains and she pulls his mask and hood off of his face only to see that he is deformed or some sort of creature.
It is animated and it is either later 80's or early 90's because I watched it when I was a little girl in the 90's. Do you think you can help me out with what this film might be?

I don't remember too many details, but I think its starts with a Zeus or some sort of person in these clouds throwing lightening bolt at this town and everyone is running around crazy. Then I remeber this boy had to slay a dragon to get his venom, so he starts squeezing the fang of the dragon, lol. And then I remeber he had to kill Medusa with a mirror and sword. The second one (i think its anime) starts with a little boy on his bed and then the bed grows taller and goes out of his room, then starts walking through the city and goes to some magic world where there is a king and a princess, and the bad guy is like a black oily substance that is kept behind a large door... i dont remember muchh but please help me im desperate
The second one is definitely Little Nemo. The bed legs growing tall and walking out the window is a dead give away. Good movie.
looking for an animated movie from the 70's or 80's along the lines of the art from the tootsie pop commercials. all i remember is a boy on a journey and 2 fat ladies dancing and singing.
and you forgot puff the magic dragon and it's sequel
I believe the movie is called " The Point " .
Somebody mentioned this one earlier, but I didn't see a response.
I can't remember much about it, but it had a bunch of singing animals. The only one I can remember was a panther with sunglasses sing about how cool he was. There was also an owl, and a turtle I think. My sister thinks they were also singing about safety, but I can't remember. Also I think they were in a theater or on a stage or something.
Anyone have any idea?

Sounds a lot like "A Bugs Life"
I'm trying to remember the name of a movie that I watched when I was little, can anyone help?
It was about this little girl whose mother told her not to day dream but she ended up doing it anyway and had a dream about being in this castle, and there was a prince and I think either the prince's little sister or her own (Can't recall it was so long ago). I did some research and it doesn't seem to be a Disney movie, I also can't remember much else. Oh, the girl was blonde too.
Does anyone have any idea. I loved that movie and want to watch again! ;A;
Can you please help me?
I've watched an animated movie when I was young, about 10-15 years ago on TV. The movie was telling about two young siblings, brother and sister, that one day a brown beetle came to their room and took them to some place in the sky, something like the sun kingdom and there they met the sun queen and the snow queen... or something like that I don't exactly remember :\ ... This is pretty much what I remember..
It will be awesome to know the name of the movie and watch it again!!!
Thank you!
Hello can you help me I have been looking for this movie since I was a kid. It might be Disney but I am not sure. It has a girl( Spring Princess), a robot, and MAYBE? a lion. As the story goes the girl starts off in a big house, when she finds a little robot they go on adventure together and find the lion? During this adventure she has to cross a bridge and save munchkins, and the robot runs out of batteries. A witch comes into the picture and they say for years the land has been spelled with winter. At the end of the movie the little girl is chased through a maze by the witch and falls into a rose, she becomes a rose or spring princess and she defeats the witch can you help me with the movie???
Hi! I saw this movie about 5 years ago, animated, and with the theme of Halloween. I didn't see the beginning, but it's about this girl that enters an old house (dared by her brother and his friends?) and there she meets a which. The which is planing a party for her friends. A skeleton (with a bow tie I think) arrives, and vampires and probably some other monsters I don't remember. At first the girl is scared of them as they arrives, but as long as they aren't "monsters" she quickly calms down. But then a Monster arrives to the party and the girl is terrified. She runs with the monster chasing her, trying to calm her down. She reaches for her flashlight and aims it at him. Confused, he stops. Her father told her that if she ever was scared and thought monsters was near, she only needed to use her flashlight and then the monsters would disappear. (which didn't work now when she was facing a real monster). Still scared, the Pizza arrives, and then it turns out that both she and the monster likes the same pizza and then they become friends.
Later on, she is to return to her brother, but she tricks him to enter the house where her new friends scares both him and his friends, where the girl comes to his "rescue" and uses the flashlight to force the monsters (the which, skeleton etc) back. Her brother becomes nicer to her and I think it more or less ends here.
Hello!
I wonder if anybody can help me find the name of this movie. I remember quite lot about the plot: in the beginning, a family drives through the djungle (South or Central America, I'm almost sure), then something happens, and the family's baby boy is abducted somehow. The boy grows up in the jungle, with an old man (I only remember he was somewhat strange/funny)and an ape, or something. The jungle man is very Tarzan-like, and I think they live in an old temple. Then there was something with a woman in USA (or something), she's the sister of the abducted boy, and later in the movie, she finds out thanks to a heart-shaped tatoo that the jungle man has on his neck or something. I don't remember why the sister travels to the jungle where her brother is, but there is some greedy, bad guys involved, too. And I remeber a jaguar. I think the jungle man is called Tommy, or Timmy, or Jimmie, but I can be totally wrong. This movie is probably made during the 90s. Hope anyone recognizes it.
Im looking for a movie that i watch in the mid 90's, and have very little details about, i dont believe it was a disney movie, but a lesser known movie, but what i do remember is there was this part in the movie, im thinking it was a bee or something that could fly and it was in the forest accompanied by another creature or bug, and came to a, i want to say a grassy maze of some sort and to get through it, it starts flying in and out of this maze singing a song with the lyrics "topsy turvy, in and out...." etc, and they get through it, and thats all i remember besides the fact that it was a great movie. And it was not the same topsy turvy song they sing in the hunchback of notredame movie. Any help on the title of this movie will be greatly appreciated :)
I have been searching for a cartoon made in the 80s or 90s
, I'm not certain . It's about a Wizard who locks a song and
a Magic Flute in a box in outer space . A rat and his
henchman steal it and take it to earth to rule over the
earth with it . The Wizard's son goes to earth to get it
back . A Mayor Pig and His Daughter help the son . An evil
Pig that works for the Rat takes the Mayors Place . There
are a lot of songs in it like "Fathers Not Himself Today".
I think the evil Pig's name might be Boom Basil .
I don't know where to post this, but I am looking for the name of this movie/cartoon I saw back in the 80s. I saw it on USA network, or Nightflight was the show. I cant remember: It was like, these space people, and they were battling each other, using music, and using guitars as weapons. But the solo's and music were awesome. Also there was a huge guitar battle at the end and the good guy won. DAMNIT WHY CANT I REMEMBER!!!! Please help
Edit: and it's not Heavy Metal or American Pop
Interstella 5555: The 5tory of the 5ecret 5tar 5ystem

PLEASE I'm desperately searching for this animation short from my childhood- it's a bit sad:
A story about a bird who in the last scene has it's feathers pecked out in a tree by some other birds and thus falls upside down to become a bat,
In the beginning the bird (if I remember correctly) can not fly, it is very sad,
The smallish bird see's a bigger beautiful white bird (a swan I think) which gives it a ride on it's back,
The little bird loves this but then wants more so pecks off the big birds wings and steals them, the beautiful white falls to earth and dies,
The little bird flies around enjoying the wings until it lands on a tree and some other birds attack.
It's a silent movie (possibly with music),
Realistic animation (not cartoony or anime)
from the 80's very 90's or earlier, seen in the UK but no language so could be foreign.
I'd be so grateful if someone knew this short cartoon.
X Jo
May, someone please help me? I remember when I was pretty young there was an animated movie on tv, and I remember loving it but I forgot the name, and nostalgia's calling. So, I remember only the beginning(or I think it was the beginning) - I remember there being a dog and a bird/parrot(?) and the dog brought the bird/parrot to where he lived, with other dogs(I think just dogs) with the owner being an old woman. And then the old woman was going to read the dogs a story (I think to go to sleep) on this chair, and then I don't remember if this was before or after she read the story, but she was "asleep", and the dogs tried waking her up, but she died. And then I remember her coffin and the dogs all sadly following it being carried away in the rain.
This is all I remember, and if anyone has any ideas, please let me know!
Oh, and the dogs could talk :)
Thank you for any help! :))
There is this movie, at least I believe it's a movie that I watched as a kid. I only know small snippets of this movie but it has tormented me for yeeeeeeeeears and yeeeeeeeeears.
What I can remember is that there is this thing, this 'evil' that is locked behind some big doors. I don't know what it was but I think this boy gets lured by some small gimped up man. His curiosity peeked and all the boy wants to do is take a small look to see what is behind these doors. When he opens the door does he release this evil.
I don't know what happens through the middle, but I think he gathers up friends and travelers. I think there was a wizard among them. But at the end this evil has been taking over the land and corrupting it. When the group came to confront this evil all of the other members...I think...all get capsulated. Then all is left is the boy who released it. That is all I remember X_x so please if anyone knows what this movie is tell me!
little nemo adventures in slumberland
Hi I'm really looking to find this movie! I'm 16 now, and it came out after I was born so it should be late 90's early 00's.
There's a bunch of toys that somehow get separated from the toyshop (can't remember how) I know it's not the toys who saved Christmas or the toy shop.
Please help me if you can!
I've been looking for this movie for a while now. Its about a princess who will get something (magic powers? Inherit her kingdom?) on her eighteenth birthday. She falls in love with some guy. An evil witch is trying to kill her before her eighteenth birthday so she could take her powers (or kingdom, or something) for herself.
That's all I can remember. Any help is much appreciated! :)
Hi, was wondering if u could help me figure out a anime movie thats been wrecking my head for age,
I can only remember bits and pieces of it as its been a long long time, and from what i can remember it will probably hard to get, sorry.
What i can remember is:

I watched a movie when I was a kid in the 90s. it could be either 80s or 90s. it WAS animated. It was about some little aliens that landed in either a swamp or a forest and came into contact with animals and creatures. NOT humans. The aliens communicated with their boss on a screen inside of their ship. and the aliens are trying to invade earth, but they are only in the woods with lower life forms. please help before I go crazy.
I can't remember many details, but there may have been something to do with a big bubble? and possibly the aliens seeing a sports game in action and wondering what the significance of that is.
Ok, I have been searching everywere for a hint to the name of this one anime. It is like, a horror type anime movie or something, It takes place on a train of some sort, and there is this little girl with some sort of a weapon she hides (with or behind or somewere around this teddy bear she carries around) and she murderes these people on the train brutally. I could be wrong about the weapon being part of her teddy bear, But I think i remember something about her holding up a teddy bear for one of her murders, and totally messes this guy up with some sort of blast or knife thing that comes out from the teddy bear. I think the name of the anime had a train number on it possibly.... and no its not galaxy express 999.
i have been looking for the name of this movie for quite some time. it was a 2D animation where there is an autistic boy and a psychology student girl treating him, somehow the autistic boy student gets her infected with an alien entity that forms a symbiotic link with her nervous system. if i recall correctly, this was not a japanese animation, maybe russian czech polish or something, not sure.
If anyone knows the title of the movie that I am describing please let me know! I've been searching for years!
In the late 90s to early 2000s I remember constantly watching this video as a child... The movie was about sea creatures that resembled Nessie (the loch ness monster). The whole movie was about these sea creatures' lives. Unfortunately that is all I remember about the movie.
i need help finding a movie i watched when i was younger
it was probably a movie from the 90s
i think one of the words in the title was "guardian" but I'm not 100%
it involved mosquitos and they were the "villains" and they were taking water from a group of animals which i can't remember what they were. I think the movie also involved a beaver and the beavers damn got destroyed. their also might be a dolphin in it. and no its not the bugs life haha.
Help anyone, i am trying to find an anime movie about: a boy that his parents were killed by a gang and he was trained from an old kung fu master to get his revenge. The boy had a monkey as a friend. And from what i remember in the movie the boy went to find a magic healing root that was guarded by a cobra, the boy got bitten and while dying the monkey killed the cobra and saved the boy by giving him the magic root. While dying the boy watched the monkey's fighting style that later learned!!
Thank you in advance!
Hi, the list is great. I need a help in finding a name of a cartoon which i watched 2002/03. There will be a flower shop. The florist is an old man. In One of his flower pots, there will be living an insect family, dad, mom,and two children. The dad has lots of magic drinks that each gives him a different power.
Hey everyone! Boy, what an impressive list this is! Great work! I need some help if anyone can provide it. I have vague memories of a cartoon I seem to have enjoyed a lot or was terrified of - either way, I've been trying to find it for a good decade or so.
From what I recall, it's about a small (blue-ish?) unicorn (small and stubby like a MLP) who I seem to remember as being particularly grouchy. He has to go on some quest with some other characters to defeat....some antagonist...because they're turning all the world's parents or adults into gingerbread-like cut out dolls.
I recall a scene where they had to take shelter for the night in the gaping side of a beached shipwreck, and I remember marching rows of blue gingerbread shaped cut out dolls.
If anyone could help, that would be fantastic! Thanks!
Unico in the Island of Magic! NM I FOUND IT :D :D :D
So, I'm looking for an animated film that I know was made before the 2000's, but probably after 1985... I remember so little, but here we go.
I remember that it takes place in a forest (either throughout the entire thing, or a few scenes), and at some point, the main character(s)? have to decide between some paths in the wood in order to find their friend/whatever who is stuck in a dungeon underground and the entrance to the dungeon place is through a tree in that forest.
I think at some other point in the movie, the character(s) find themselves at like an ice skating rink (except it is outside, and it's a rectangular field of ice that is surrounded by some white pillars, and I believe the character actually goes skating..
I feel like the characters are looking for something, and the person getting kidnapped along the way was a subplot...
It's been driving me nuts!!! Please help
Darktremor,
I realize you may not check this account any more but I really do think you are the person to help me if you're still out there. I'm searching for info about a movie that I believe aired on the Disney channel during the late 80's early 90's. it aired in the late evening/early morning; I only saw it once. IIRC the plot followed a brother who has corrupted by an evil power that had turned all citizens of the world to what appeared to be humanoid wooden blocks. The blocks formed large structures which in turn formed a kingdom that the brother resided in. In the end, I believe the sister saves the brother and the humanoid blocks are returned to the citizens that begat them. I can't say for sure if it was Japanese though it did have a very strong anime influence. Please, help me with the name of this film.
does anyone know what film had small human like people being chased through a house by a bulldozer plz help use to love it as a kid just cant remember the name. thnk you
Ok I'm thinking 1980's-early 90's, potentially American, tho not necessarily
Children's movie with little boy main character and a group of adorable partying aliens,

Like so many others, I need help finding a movie: it would have been made in the 80s or 90s,
Don Bluth style, and it had a boy and a girl and a singing lion and something about a key and maybe a book, too. Lots of rich sound and color. I used to got to my brothers best friend's house and his Mom would let me watch it on VHS. Considering the family, it might have had some christian values attached to it. It is definitely NOT the care bears, although it was similar. Any help would be appreciated!
Also Fluppy Dogs should be on this list, but I didn't see it. (Talking rainbow colored, dimension hopping dogs who get separated somehow and are on a quest to find something)
Hello ,
I have been looking for an anime movie i saw on TV once quite many years ago, but every search i've done has been returning random results :S
I think i saw this back on 1995, so i can assume that the movie was released sometime between 1980 and 1990, and the central hero is a female ninja, which towards the end we come to find out that she's a cyborg. She is dressed in a yellow outfit, and i characteristically remember the ending scene, where she is running towards something and trigerring a big explosion. I can't really recall many details about the plot, but i remember several spiders and some kind of crazy doctor / engineer. If anyone recalls the name , i'd be most thankful. Sorry if i am unable to provide more details, thanks in advance!
After going thought the movie list I still can't find the movie I am thinking of. I would watch this movie with my babysitter. It was a VHS back in 1989-1992 when I watched it but it could be a little or a lot older then that. It was a cartoon in color about a young white blonde girl with a doll and she would sing and go into some fantasy type of world, I can not remember much I want to say it was similar to a circus fantasy land but I'm not so sure. Lots of lights music riding on a roller coaster possibly trying to get away from a man..... Please tap in to your brains and think! I've been trying to find this move over 10 years!
Update: after intensive research and process of elimination..... I found it! Raggedy Ann The Enchanted Square (1947)Cartoon VHS classic cartoons with the not so yet famous raggedy Ann.
Hello,
I'm trying to remeber a movie i saw, even had on vhs In late 80's - Early 90's.
What i got is, i think theres a conflict/war between two group of ppls. I thnik 1 side was more farmer equipped and one side was more armor/knights ish.
I remeber some ruins and secret passages that some yungsters? found. And 2 of them had amulets that start glowing coming near some old runes. I think there was a demon ox or something chasing them - because garding something. And he just came out from a wall (yellow glowing). Maybe a maze in all this. (Old caves, ruins, runes/symbols, glowing amulets) Maybe the two amulets fitted together and when the 2 boys united them something magic happend?
The dumb thing is i may have whirled 2 movies togheter. But idk.
btw
Rikki Tikki Tavi is not on ur list?
