Henry Fonda is another of America's greatest actors. The amazing thing is John Ford is usually associated with John Wayne but as this list points out by the 7 collabarations between Ford and Fonda their work together was extraordinary. This is my eigth entry into a collection of lists I plan on doing for some of my favorite actors and actresses. Top Ten is self explanatory. Honorable Mention is my sneaky way to get some other good movies mentioned and Danger List is ones to avoid. As always discussion is encouraged. I am only commenting on Films I have seen

I can't recall if you said that you have seen Once Upon a Time in the West or not. If so, where would you put it above? Or, seeing as he isn't THE main character of the film, is it disqualified?

Great list; I hope to be able to judge it better once I plug an obviously huge hole in my film-watching career and finally hunker down to see The Lady Eve. If you like it this much (and I see it on your top 100 list as well), it has to be worth watching.

Shalom, y'all!

Well, I dont know which surprises me more, my not seeing Once upon a Time or your not seeing Lady Eve yet. My theory on which movies make these lists are the actor in question does not need to be the main character but at least they must have a something more than a cameo role.

Lady Eve is a fun movie, I dont know how familiar you are with Sturges work but a lot of his stuff has some heavy handed social messages. Lady Eve is much less on the heavy handedness and it is the better movie for it.
