This appears just like my CC series, but there is one crucial distinction. This list is the combined opinions of me and several of my critical friends. We have not attempted to reflect the mainstream of critical opinion. We did not even consult the critics. These are simply our gut reactions, our silly opinions, our thoughtful judgments...
Scale:
***** - Masterpiece
**** 1/2 - Classic
**** - Great
*** 1/2 - Good
*** - Above Average
** 1/2 - Average
** - Below Average
* 1/2 - Bad
* - Terrible
1/2 - One of the worst albums ever

Ya know, it's funny. Just the other day I had a craving for some Pavement I haven't heard before, and I was wondering if any of their other albums were worth checking out. I'm still not sure if I'm going to pick one up (I haven't seen any really glowing recommendations of any of the other albums), but I guess if I did, Brighten the Corners would probably be my best bet, eh?
Despite the opinions of my crew, which threw its rating down quite a bit, I really *love* Westing, a collection of early singles. Wowee Zowee seems to be a love it or hate it album, and I'm not really sure I've quite made up my mind on it yet...
Neither Corners or Terror should disappoint, but neither are quite as great as the earlier works.
Good luck!
Shalom, y'all!

Ah, thanks! Besides this list, my only sources were allmusic.com and acclaimedmusic.net, and Westing being a compilation, it was excluded from the main page of the former (the new design looks cool, but I think it is more inconvenient now - what do you think of the renovations to the AMG?) and excluded entirely from the latter. I guess it just slipped my mind. Maybe I'll check it out.
