Droopy was a cartoon dog created by Tex Avery, famous for speaking in a slow monotone, but possessing extraordinary strength and speed when least expected. His cartoons were produced by the MGM studio whose most famous characters were Tom and Jerry.
Cartoons 1-11, 13-16 and 18 (a CinemaScope remake of #6) were directed by Tex Avery, while #12 (Caballero Droopy) was directed by Dick Lundy, #17 was directed by Tex Avery and Michael Lah, and cartoons 19-24 were directed by Michael Lah after Avery had left the studio.
** Denotes an Academy Award nomination.
