- I know. It's taken me FOREVER to come back to this list... But here you will find a journal entry I wrote on the subject of using Eddie as a donor long ago. Should provide some insight.

- Seriously. How could I have forgotten to add him in?? .... Of course I'm not so sure I could maintain the necessary separation of thank-you-for-being-my-donor from come-here-so-I-can-lick-you.

- .... Stooky's right, he's awesome. Gorgeous is nice, of course, but I also just love his work, his energy...
- Ioan Gruffudd
- Dude. Talk about gorgeous. And he's welsh! And... and... Well, honestly, I'm pretty much enthralled with anyone I think could do justice to the part of Henry in The Time Traveller's Wife movie... Which leads directly to -
- Adrien Brody
- Adrien's actually my FIRST choice for the Henry character, and therefore infinitely attractive to me. He's amazingly an amazingly talented actor, which, granted, doesn't automatically make him great donor material, but I have to go off the information I have (talent being a plus)... (his having driven a 'Hummer' takes him down several notches in my estimation...) I'm very short, and his height could give a child of mine a fighting chance in that area....

- Smart. Healthy. Looks a bit like K. Totally uninterested in having children, but willing to help us. Ties in our chosen family a bit more tightly. Ability to someday give the child substantial information about where that half of their genetics came from.

- Smart. Healthy (as a freaking OX). Loves us both. Would be around - do we want a more hands-on father? Ability to give the child substantial information about where that half of their genetics came from... pretty much any time.

These are the people (mostly famous ones, cuz they're more fun) I would most like to have as sperm donors for our child(ren)....
Finally coming back to this list... Eddie's still my top pick, but here's some others... some of them even possible!
Eddie Izzard? I think an explanation should follow that one.
Any chance Johnny Depp will make an appearance?
Personally I have thought about this subject (lots of fem-friends), and if I were a woman I would prefer good looks to any brains whatsoever. However, are you all about the brains or the brawn? (cross-dressing, super-sly, slightly pudgy comics perhaps?)

I agree that physical beauty makes life easier, and is something I'd love to be able to give my kid. Especially as my stepdaughter got a HUGE share of looks, and I think our next child will already feel like it's growing up in her shadow...
I'm not hugely worried about brains, as I have plenty to pass on (sounds arrogant, doesn't it?) and I wouldn't pick someone with no brains at all...
I'm more about brains than brawn... I think creativity and humor and drive are the things I look for most...
