- Essentials:
- Complete a detailed outline for a screenplay. (Yikes!) Failed.
- Get my MS Excel certification from Microsoft.
- Get my MS Powerpoint certification from Microsoft.
- Actually deposit all the checks that've been piling up for months (I hate going to the bank).
- Make fewer than 50 posts on Listology.
- See fewer than 30 full-length movies. Failed.
- Do my taxes.
- If I Have Time:
- Get to #200 (listed, not done) on this list. (If you want to help, suggest something!) Almost!
- Do one of the items on that list (not a new item that I've already done). Failed.
- Read 5 books, cover to cover.
- Miss fewer than 10 days of doing 100 crunches this month.
- Listen to 10 jazz albums I've not heard before. So far: 8. Almost!
- Record another alternate audio commentary.
- Write 5 new album reviews.
- Listen to 5 complete classical music works I've not heard before.

Yay, you get to watch my progress at accomplishing stuff (or not, just click away). Maybe I can pretend you're holding me accountable, and will shame me into dust if I don't complete this list before May 1st.

That's all I'm going to try to accomplish in a whole month? Trust me, if I pull these things off, it'll be a huge boost in my productivity.
So what if I started counting the jazz album thing on March 31st? You wanna make something of it?
BTW, suggestions are also welcome for this list. The criteria are a bit different than for '1000 things to do before I die', but just as unpublished.
I know it was done before this month, but I had to congratulate you on your 'Persona' commentary. Very good listen, your insight was great and helped me enjoy a film more than I had on my first viewing of it.
Oh! I'm very gratified (and surprised) that somebody bothered to listen to it! Do you have suggestions for my next commentary? I've already decided I'd like to inject more energy into it, and I'd like to try to bring in another person so we can play off each other but I don't know anyone in my area who likes film as much as I do.
Glad you appreciate it!
Hm.. well, if there are no fans of film as big as you in your area, how about a more moderate fan of film? You could pick perhaps a more well-known (but still good) film that they might like to comment on. If there's no-one, I guess you'll just have to go it alone, but I have little in the way of suggestion, although I notice you like The Last Laugh, which is a film I'd like to hear a 'fan' commentary on -- it's possibly the only silent movie I'd consider a film I enjoyed, though that's down to me not seeing many from the genre.
You could alternatively go with something more modern, and more well-known (try Shawshank, Forrest Gump and Eternal Sunshine for size... and that's nothing to do with the fact they're my three fave films.. ;-) ). One final suggestion, if you've seen it: Breakdown, a very underrated movie.
