  • He's the god of ridiculous horror films... post-50/60's anyway... His last three movies have been big failures from what I hear, at least critically that is... but from what i have seen of them, which is not much, they seem just like all his others, if you're a fan, you'll love em, if not, you hate em... i just happen to be a huge fan of his style... It's been four years, and now all you can get is endless remakes and rumors of remakes and halloween sequel foolery of his movies... also hard to believe he's still in his 50's... it seems like he's been around forever, and he looks like he's on the other side of 100.

  • This is just a plea for some theatres to carry his movies, he makes probably too much as it is... but i never get to see any of his new ones anymore.

  • With the exception of a couple of tv movies, which i've heard are pretty damn good, he has yet to make a feature film in 14 years, and yet to have a feature film chopped to near incomprehension in over 20 years... to think of all the great movies this guy could be making, i'm hoping that all these movies he is supposedly directing in the next few year are going to happen, and the way he wants them to happen, but chances are they will be chopped to pieces and all the rest of them die in pre-production.

  • Well its been over 5 years since he made his last serious attempt at a movie... or one that people have actually seen that is... and from what i've heard it's been a while since he made a really good one... and now he's supposedly making one with vin diesel... i'd go see a promising movie from him, even if he is ancient, problem is it's been a while... i know he's got it in him.

  • Well it will have been 1 movie in the last 6 years, after giving us 3 great movies in 4 years... he's only 35 and he's said he is incapable of having writer's block, i'm starting to fear he may never make another movie... what could he be doing?

  • Granted, I have not seen too many of his films... but i do know he made two great ones, and that he's been making some foreign tv miniseries for 15 years now, or something like it... There is a rumor he's making another spaghetti western with franco nero and an "interesting american cast", but nothing more than an interview with enzo and an article in a magazine as far as i know.(which mentioned mickey rourke and Floyd Westerman, as well as cameo's from mel brooks and quentin tarantino, that is interesting)

I think that you mean the second 'John Carpenter' to be 'Paul Thomas Anderson'.
