Thanks, i hav'nt heard strummer's late 80's solo album which is hard to find, but his late 90's / 2000s albums with the mescaleros are great, alot of acoustic and world music, and he covers marley's redemption song, and his voice noticably changed since the clash years, probly from the smoking
It's probably the greatest punk album ever made. If you don't believe me, just try it and see what you think. It's not hard to find, but it somehow remains mysteriously overlooked by most.
Interesting picks. I've never heard Joe Strummer outside the Clash.
My current favorites (not all time!) are probably:
1. Bob Dylan
2. Pixies
3. Radiohead
4. Nirvana
5. The Smiths
those are the bands I'm listening to the most and enjoying right now.
Later!

Interesting...he's a solid artist and I always wondered what happened to him.
