Author Comments:
Movies titles for which they came up with a song of the same name for the film, e.g. most James Bond flicks, don't count.

Strange Days The Doors
And I just drew a blank. I'll think of more..ok Dan?
Pretty In Pink should qualify because the song was released five years before the movie.Oh, that was The Psychedelic Furs if you did not know that already.
Sixteen Candles by The Crests (1958).
Thanks, Jeff!
What's Love Gotta Do With It? -perhaps could be included. And was there not a movie called Ode to Billy Joe?
Yep! Thanks!
Wild Wild West by The Escape Club.
Girls Just Want To Have Fun by Cyndi Lauper
Susie Q by Screamin' Jay Hawkins
Great Balls Of Fire by Jerry Lee Lewis
Wild Life by Talking Heads
Twist and Shout 91984) by The Isley Brothers or Beatles
New Zealand film "Wild Horses" by Rolling Stones.
OK, here are some more.
Unforgettable by Nat King Cole
Sweet Dreams by Eurythmics and/or Patsy Cline
Unforgiven by Metallica
Which Twist and Shout film are you referring to?
I gave you Great Balls of Fire. I can't find any film called Susie Q and the Talking Heads song is Wild Wild Life.
I'll give you Girls Just Want To Have Fun but the TV series Wild, Wild West on which the film was based pre-dated the Escape Club tune by 33 years. Thanks for the new entry!
I dont think Escape Club had any idea that the series ever existed. The Twist and Shout I was referring to was the 1984 film directed by Bille August
You may not want to include Susie Q. It was a 1996 made for T.V. film with Shelley Long in it.
I think I'll skip the made for TV movies.
Maybe you misunderstand the purpose of this list. These aren't films that happen to have the same title as a song. These are films which seem to have come up with their title directly from the existence of a song with that title, i.e. if a song with that title hadn't existed they wouldn't have been named that.
