My roommate wears emo glasses and supertight trendy jeans and vintage t-shirts. he is really cool, just like the poeple who listen this bullshit and attend pop-art galleries and mull over 10 dollar coffees with the rest of the sophomore intellectuals. He inflicted all of this crap on me the day each of these records hit stores. Critics are morons. These albums of crap are definitive proof. None of the records mentioned above are worth the time or money it takes to hear them. Hopefully, Bright Eyes will be squashed under a hundred tons of unread and contrived explications of how similar he is to Bob Dylan. Erase the last sentance-dylan's name should not be on the same page as this model shagging pretty boy hack.
I agree- about Bright Eyes. He may be the most overrated artist of this decade. His album is pretty forgettable and I regret spending money on it.
On the other hand, LCD Soundsystem, Bloc Party, Joanna Newsome, and Interpol are all decent and a little bit original. Bloc Party is pretty fun too, if you don't think, hmm...this is no Highway 61.
I actually should reconsider Lcd soundsystem, my roommate just wore it out for me i guess, but I did enjoy a few of the songs on his latest album. Yeah we are right, bright eyes sucks.
