cramoukji's current expectations (brunettes brand)

  • Finding that pair of Tartan-design Dr.Marten's boots I've been wanting for a long time (but I'll have to start looking in other countries, no shoe dealer in Belgium has received any new men's sizes models from Dr. Marten's for 2006)
  • The new Tom Petty "solo" album "Highway Companion" (due in march or april)
  • Finding low-price gems in new year sales especially in clothes and CD's (basically, a long-shot but can happen anytime until January 31st)
  • A changing of the guard in our local town council elections scheduled in october 2006 (the "powers that be" have long overstayed their welcome now)
  • Disney movies that I can relate to (nah, just kidding)
  • Winning eBay bids on Gamecube games (a few currently under watch)
  • Having a theatrical release of Hal Hartley's upcoming movie "Fay Grim (Henry Fool 2)" in my hometown (could happen since our local artsy-schmartsy theater has met unexpected success last year and they held a press conference to announce they'd venture into more daring programming beyond the usual intellectual french movies they've been showing for two decades now... I should point out this was the only theater who programmed Cronenberg's "Spider" in my hometown where we have one huge 15-theater multiplex and one downtown middle-size 7-theater complex)
  • Spring so Theme Parks will be open again and I can go to either Walibi in Belgium or De Efteling in the Netherlands (in about four months from now)
  • MORE feedback from fellow listologists on my various contributions (I wanna see those yellow dots when I check my content)

Good luck on that job!

Thank you... in a few words, it's a job in the same newspaper company I work for currently... So far I've been a very local reporter, writing about the various social, political, cultural and economical events happening in my hometown but this could be the opportunity to start reporting Belgium-wide, only it would be confined to the Entertainment section of news... well, we'll see...

Sounds cool - broader base, more specialised. And news, schmoos. Bring on the entertainment!

Seriously, I'm considering a major career shift, and it's kind of exciting to hear something from a world where people do real jobs.

Journalism, a real job ? Nah, whoever told you that was a pathological liar... and I DO weigh my words...

Heh. Well it's better than Office Drone, which is where I'm at.

Hmmm, I guess it is, yes...

I won bids on both Hal Hartley DVDs

Yes, aren't yellow dots fun?

They definitely are, I just complain that I don't see them often enough... I guess I have to face the ugly truth... I'm a boring person...

Nope, didn't get that new job position in the news company for which I'm currently working...

My condolences. Maybe the next opportunity will be bigger and brighter, right?

A few of my materialistic expectations were met on january 26th when I found, while not looking for any, a pair of brown nappa 1460 model Dr.Marten's boots for half the price in a shoe shop in a local mall... I swear this was the only pair left in my size in this whole town and thankfully it was a nice design... Now, if only my girlfriend could find pairs in her size other than that dubious 1460 black greasy...
