I'm sure many people will laugh that I hope to go to Canada and Mexico someday. I've been to Kuwait and Iraq, yet I've never been to the two countries that border the U.S. As for the rest, most of my decisions are based on things people have said who've been there. The list is also based on a college course I took called Cultural and Political Geography that was really fun.

If you ever visit Italy, visit Venice - one of the greatest European cities IMO.

The Swiss Alps are gorgeous, and Britain - particularly the middle-size towns as opposed to the big cities and rural areas - is great too (though I would say that as I live there!)

And, of course, if you go to France, you have to see Paris. An amazing city!
