April 25th, 2004 is a date I will never forget. I am proud to have been a part of history.

Ah, wasn't it incredible??? I made the trip from Ohio with my boyfriend (he's even more of a feminist than I am... it's awesome), and it was seriously such an amazing experience. It was just so empowering.
I loved how some pro-choicers were standing in front of the anti-choicers, covering their signs with ours, and I loved the chants, too. "Keep your rosaries off my ovaries" was a favorite...
I would have to say my favorite thing, though, was that Gloria Steinem was wearing a shirt that said "Another Youth For Choice" - not too many 70 year olds can pull that off!
I'm really glad you went. So many older feminists think the younger generation doesn't care, so it was fabulous seeing tons of people our age there.
That's really awesome that you went, too - and your boyfriend. I was really happy to see some guys there. What group did you sign up with, or were you just by yourself? I was with NARAL - I have a sign from NARAL and Planned Parenthood in my room - "Students Stand Up for choice!" It was just awesome.
We were planning on going with the chapter of the Feminist Majority Leadership Alliance from our school (the FMF's campus group), but ended up going by ourselves.
