Cool Movie Ideas

- These are not PLOT ideas, because I'm not going to give away my best ideas if I'm going to write scripts from them!
- A grandiose sci-fi film (perhaps a short) told entirely with high-detail, Photoshopped concept art and narrtion (resulting in something like La Jetee). I love highly detailed, Photoshop-painted, fantastic concept art, and this approach would allow someone to make a movie that would cost $500 million to make for the 'real' way. Note: The Cathedral (2002) is exactly how I'd like this film to look, but it's a short.
- A small-scale thriller (perhaps something like Rear Window or something taking place in one apartment building) told entirely in one shot (moving from room to room out the window, etc.).
- A film told entirely from the main character's POV (camera-wise), with 'cuts' only when he blinks/closes his eyes, etc.

Pretty good ideas! I've actually thought of the third one before - I also wanted my character to change his own view in the course of the movie - ie: at some points wearing glasses, at others not.
Oh, yes, you'd definitely have to take advantage of the idea as much as possible (and fit it naturally into the narrative).
A story involving this approach is actually on my 'to do' of screenplays to write.
Hate to break it to you, but a movie from a first-person POV has already been done. However, that movie's not very well-known, so maybe you can perfect the idea, lukeprog.
awesome! Thanks for the link! I'm still gonna do it better, though :-)
Did you see "The Cathedral" at The Animation Show? Because that's where I saw it, and I was really impressed with the animation in it.
No, but YES the animation is fantastic. It was like a film told entirely in concept art, which I love. Awesome visual style. I'm also a sucker for trees/vines/etc.
