This is a short list (actually it is still long) of music style, this list presents main genres of music (main style + substyles), and you actually should not need or care for more accurate listing of styles (which can go well over 200), and which contains such exciting styles as post-minimalistic-hard-acid-dubcore, which are played by astounding 3 dj's world wide, and have uncomprehensible number of listeners in number of 2 (including those dj's)

In [] there is an example by which you should be able to get what I mean (espacially pop generally is not well defined).

There is a lot of points where 2 existing styles (or more) are linked, this actually means that from some external observators point of view those genres are similar, and/or are strongly interlinked.

With alternative rock, you can split it or not, I don't have idea if it is worth to subdivide alt rock

ELECTRONIC = what some people call electronica

This list is so lame...
You obviously have no clue whatsoever about metal (I would have gone maybe with: black, death, prog, gothic, doom, heavy, thrash)
Also, when one listens a lot to a genre becomes familiar with sub-genres and gives a fuck about it (because cand identify or search for specific stuff when searching for new artists).

Ps. Ibiza trance is not lame at all

I know that you can have create like X subgenders and subgenders of subgenders,

This list is not for fan freaks of any gender whatsoever, it's a general introduction

I DO know the subgenders that you mention, but I don't thinnk that METAL is worth that much place on the limited list

And WOW you inserted black metal with some few bands that actually nobody cares about (don't get me wrong, I'm fan myself of some not-in-the-mainstream-music) and you omited glam metal which was massive in the 80, that makes you a real fan of the gender; and what about alternative metal (sorry it looks like that your a metalhead)

Since I'm a big fan of trance, and I know 10 subgenders of it, not mentioning subgenders of subgenders; but in perspective such a isn't that much valuable, cause the subgenders mix and evolve (of course if you are some lame performer and make crap, than actually you will acentuate the fact that you make norwagian-blackcore-metal)

"Black Music"? You think nobody should give a f.. about R&B anymore?

I think you're alone on this one.

Call it Urban Jams if you need to, (sorry I couldn't conceive a better description)
the R&B is also on the list, so whats you point?
