- Paula Cole - At Summerfest in Milwaukee. She is AMAZING live and also incredibly beautiful with a lot of energy for her audience.
- Those Darn Accordions - 3X or so all at Summerfest. They are a wacky band from San Francisco who all play the accordion. They do covers ("Do You Think I'm Sexy" sung by 90-yr-old Clyde is the best) and their own originals including "Hamsterman".
- Moby - In Milwaukee. An awesome show except for the horrible moshing. Moby is such a cute crazy man, and his music of course is mesmerizing and danceable. ALSO in Minneapolis. A crowded show, with a higher prick quotient, and not as many dance songs as the first Moby outing.
- Beausoleil - In Northampton, MA. A nice night out seeing my mom and my favorite Cajun band. Unfortunately saw them without my mom. An old balding man asked me to dance the two-step which I did.
- They Might Be Giants - In Northampton. Was right up by the stage part of a very civilized nerd moshpit. A great show which made me appreciate John Henry.
- Human League/Culture Club/Howard Jones - Wi. State Fair. It was fun but kind of stale in retrospect. Boy George can't really sing anymore, Human League was laughably bored. Howard Jones gave the best performance of all three.
- Chumbawamba - Summerfest. Only caught the tail end unfortunately. They are MUCH better live. They had so much energy and so did the audience. I was jumping around wildly.
- Davy Jones - Summerfest, same night. He still sounds EXACTLY the same as he did in The Monkees. His voice is still great. It was cool to sing the songs along with an appreciative audience. He wore a silver suit.
- Widespread Panic - Summerfest, same day. Wow, a really cool live band, but I wish I'd been stoned like most of the rest of the audience. It almost felt like a drugged experience anyway, what with all the dancing and swaying along with the crowd.
- G. Love and The Special Sauce - Summerfest, same day. Didn't make a huge impression. Like some of the songs, but it was just kind of eh, live.
- Rusted Root - Northampton, MA. I love Rusted Root, but the college hall at Smith chosen for the venue was a bad choice. There were seats stuck to the floor and Rusted Root is for wild dancing in fields. Oh well. Danced on the sidelines.
- Liz Phair - Mt. Holyoke MA. A good experience just cause I'm a huge fan. I had a broken leg, so I sat up in the balcony. Not much different live than on the CD, but she was definitely funny and it was worthwhile.
- Bonnie Raitt - Summerfest. Saw her with my Mom and Aunt Chrissie when I was in early high school. Liked it, sang along, don't remember much else.
- Neil Diamond - Milwaukee. Saw him in middle school because a friend's mom had an extra ticket. Would appreciate it much more today. Fairly cheesy but good.
- Violent Femmes - Waukesha County Fair. Horrible mosh pit wherein I lost my beloved Pop Swatch and had about a million people try to crowd surf onto my head. Liked the music, but was so worried about the fucking mosh pit that I couldn't even enjoy "Add it Up". Pretty sure that half the audience wasn't even composed of Femmes fans, just lame-ass Waukesha moshers looking for a cheap place to do their thing.
- ANI DIFRANCO - In Milwaukee. Ani was great, the band was great, but the crowd was rather rude. So the show wasn't what it could have been. People were talking and yelling things out during "Angry Anymore" and during a new song which I didn't catch the title of. Also, I wish I had been either right in front or in the balcony. Oh well, I'll figure it out next time.
- ANI PART II - In Madison, April 23, 2001. A wonderful show. Her energy was great, the band was amazing, she played a great mixture of new and old songs. Even the opening act, Erin Mckeon, was impressive in her own right. And we stood against the back wall of the Orpheum theatre, which gave us space to dance, and allowed us a great view. Best songs, "Gravel", "Dial Tone".
- TORI AMOS/RUFUS WAINWRIGHT - Minneapolis, October 2001 (Wow... what an amazing show. Oddly enough, however, I was enamored of Rufus rather than Tori. And I didn't even know he would be opening. I am now way into his beautiful vocals which were even stronger live. Check this guy out immediately. Tori was also in fine form, especially on her quieter more intimate songs like "Leather" and "Me and a Gun".)

These are in no particular order, and I'm sure there are more. But I've been to relatively few concerts.
