Here are some of the listologists' favorites that I have not seen yet. Some of them I really want to see, but some I don't really care about...

I didn't like 2001: A Space Odyssey at all.

The Apartment is very funny.

Just funny or a must-see?
I guess I can live without having seen The Apartment, but I should really consider watching Pulp Fiction. Supposed to be THE movie of the 90s...

Must-see.

You can skip Pulp Fiction. It's a ripoff of much better films.

Wow, never heard that before ("skip Pulp Fiction"). I'll definately give The Apartment a try, thanks!

I would like to put in a vote for seeing both The Apartment and Pulp Fiction. Pulp Fiction is a very cinematically literate movie. There are many references to other films, and though some may call that a ripoff, I think there is enough uniqueness in how the references are used to justify calling Pulp Fiction a dazzlingly original film.

No vote for Citizen Kane, being No. 2 on your list?

Consider yourself lynched! :-D

Great list with some great movies, though A Clockwork Orange and Trainspotting, contradictory to what you may have heard, are not necessary viewing at all. Very bad stuff, though I know that I'm in the minority on those.

Also, Gone with the Wind. Not that great, but not too bad either. Your average overblown soap opera.

And kudos for including The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance! It's so overlooked most of the time, but it's my favorite western. See it ASAP!

Ok, now I got The Apartment, Pulp Fiction and The Man Who Shot Liberty Valance on my to-watch list. Sounds like a fun movie night. Thanks for your tips!

I'm currently reading A Clockwork Orange. Kind of curious how this would look like as a movie...
