I've been spending an insane amount of time in the car recently and decided I might need more entertainment than the radio. Especially since NPR is the only radio station I can stand to listen to. So, I tried to put together a mix of CDs to satisfy all of my moods and make sure there was a couple of crowd-pleasers for friends, too. I will admit that many of the CDs are my fathers, though!
*Oct 4* This list basically became "The CDs I Brought to College With Me." Since I couldn't bring the car I figured I might as well take what I wanted from it!

Where's your car so I can break into it? (haha)
yeah dido!!
Thanks to both of you! I stole a lot of the CDs from my dad, though, so I'll pass along the praise.
Donny Osmond ? ? ?
Well, I know this is the worst reason ever for liking something, but it's the truth. I kind of started liking Donny because I thought it would be funny if a teenage girl liked him. Then, I got attached to it. So much so that I saw him in concert and decorated my bedroom with various memorabilia. So, there you go...
(Guilty Secrets)
I remember I once had posters on my bedroom walls of Mick Jagger and David Bowie, and probably others I have since forgotten (but not Donny), though I did once buy the Osmonds single 'Going Home' because I thought it rocked.
What a great car mix! I love Exile in Guyville, in particular. That's right up there on the list of CD's I'd want if I could only have 1, or some bizarre hypothetical situation like that.
I'll have to check out some of the ones I haven't heard! (At least on Mp3. No money...)

Thanks so much! My current favorite is The Modern Lovers. I've devoted a lot of time to that CD this past week!
I have   Rock 'N' Roll with the Modern Lovers   which I bought on the strength of 'Road Runner' back in the seventies when first released. I simply love 'Angels Watching Over Me'.
Wow, I'm up late. Just wondering if you have any other Beatles CDs. Going to bed now.
I also have the Live on BBC and the 3 anthologies. My dad also has several records, but I don't listen to them too much. I don't really know how to work the record player...
