I stole this idea from Jeffrey Wells...

"I'm thinking of a Career Chiller Top Ten -- a rundown of the best actors and actresses of the last 15 or 20 years whose careers suddenly stalled for no apparent reason. Their talent didn't evaporate, they didn't get fat, they didn't get pinched for child molesting...but the wheels just stopped turning."

For the heck of it I'm going to allow other talent, e.g. Directors.

Well, he had a budding career. And then in 1994 he won a Golden Globe for "Best Performance by an Actor in a TV-Series - Drama" for NYPD Blue then quit the show to make movies. I think he got a little ahead of himself.
