Tags:
- ABBA:
- My Love, My Life (very maudlin, played it repeatedly for my own break-up)
- S.O.S. (when there's still hope)
- Knowing Me, Knowing You (resignation)
- The Winner Takes It All (bitter reunion)
- When All is Said and Done (amicable divorce)
- Angeleyes (he's a player picking up other women)
- Why Did It Have to Be Me? (girl ends casual affair when she realizes he loves her)
- PATSY CLINE:
- 7 Lonely Days (great for belting out)
- You're Stronger Than Me
- Crazy (of course)
- OLIVIA NEWTON-JOHN:
- Recovery (Olivia's getting better, stronger)
- Not Gonna Be the One (and she's not gonna be the one to make her ex feel better)
- A Little More Love (not really a break-up, but you feel it coming. My favorite OLIVIA song)
- OTHER:
- Red, Red Wine UB40
- Linger THE CRANBERRIES
- You Oughta Know ALANNIS
- Your House ALANNIS (this song is really sweet and sad, and easy to identify with)
- Your Wildest Dreams MOODY BLUES (this has gotta be one of the saddest, sweetest songs ever...)
- Untouchable Face ANI DIFRANCO (Fuck you!)
Author Comments:
This is way under construction, cause I should actually be packing right now to go home. But these are some songs which have helped me through break-ups, and through nostalgic periods afterwards.

You go girl! Have you heard Sleater Kinney? They have so much rage that I attain instant catharsis when listening! Ani is the same way but she's mellowing out WAY too much.
