Books Unfinished

Tags:
  • The first Lemony Snicket book - supposed to be Harry Potter-esque (good for kids, but good for adults, too), but I got less than a chapter in before abandoning it because I hated it.
  • The Unbearable Lightness of Being (Kundera) - Somehow, though I was enjoying this, I put it down a couple of years ago. It's still on my shelf.
  • A Tale of Two Cities (Dickens) - Not sure that I actually finished this when I was supposed to read it in high school. Definitely skipped some chapters at some point at fouled up a quiz as a result. I did like it, overall, but you know how high school is.
  • The Blind Assassin (Margaret Atwood) - Still reading it, slowly
  • A Civil War (Feinstein) - in progress
  • Fast Food Nation (Schlosser) - in progress

My current sitting down mostly unread book is American Pastoral. I just can't get myself to pick it back up.

Yeah, it seems almost pointless to go back - there are so many other things I want to read. Another of my many unfinished projects of all sorts. Yet it seems weird to leave books unfinished; after all, the end is pretty much always in sight.
