Might I suggest some Nietzsche? And Jean-Paul Sartre. Plus I'd check out Jean Baudrillard's sense and simulacrum. And read Jorge Borges' Ficciones. Karl Popper is really interesting too.
Great list though, I'll have to check out the ones I haven't read.
I have many many more to check out, Scaruffi's philosophy book page is a good source for finding them. I've been meaning to look into Nietzche and Popper, great minds. Which of the books on this list have you read? And which did you find most interesting?
I've only actually read the two Orwell books (which were great): I've mostly just been exposed to pretty much all of the ideas in the rest of the books through discussion and reading of books that reference them.
Oh yeah, Skinner's Walden is a good book as well.
George Orwell was indeed a great writer and insanely ahead of his time. I too have encountered the ideas and theories of most of the better well known philosophers, but I like to read the original material to get a better understanding.
I'll check that out thanks!
