Author Comments:
Mostly things I read for classes; didn't have much free time for anything else!

(ratings: 1= I hated, 5= I loved!)

What classes are you reading these for? You look like a combination Sociology/English major.
I'm actually a Black Studies major. Most of these I've read for classes in the major, and some I just read for fun while I had time during the summer.
Cool. Excellent opportunity to read some great literature.
I read Richard Wright and Ralph Ellison for fun when I was a kid, and Toni Morrison I read for fun as an adult. I read Zora Neal Hurston and Malcolm X for school.
