Author Comments:
I've given up on recording every book I read, because the lists were getting ridiculous. Now, I'm just going to note whenever I read something for the first time (so, new to *me*, not necessarily to you).
So, lemme just take all my old favorites out of this list -- that's much better.

How did you like Galileo's Daughter? It's on my "to read" list, but I was curious about what you thought about it.
I got bogged down toward the end, but it was pretty interesting. I normally don't read a lot of biography. And it was definitely a bio of Galileo - including letters from his daughter was pretty much just the attention-getting gimmick for the book. Not that those letters didn't provide a lot of interest, and illumination of his life.
And she appears to have been an interesting woman, though not a whole lot is said about her life (though I don't think much CAN be said of a cloistered nun in the 17th century).
Thanks for the info. It actually makes me want to read it more, as I'm sort of into biographies right now. That it focuses more on Galileo is a plus, for me.
Hey, Timepiec! Which end of this list is your most recent reads?
The bottom is the most recent end. Once in a while I forget to enter one right away and it doesn't get on here. but mostly it's pretty accurate.
I see you also enjoy the Bernie Rhodenbarr stories. Formulaic for sure, but fun nonetheless. They always make me want to become a burglar. :-)
yeah, I tend to like the lighter mysteries, and I just discovered those. Almost through with the whole series now.
